Boris graduated from the University of Queensland. He has worked in various States and in various roles around Australia prior to moving to Tasmania in 2014 to work in General Practice.

Boris has a passion for teaching, regularly tutoring medical students at the University of Tasmania, and supervising GP trainees. He received the RACGP Tasmanian Supervisor of the Year award in 2025.

He founded, and continues to run, Tassie Doctors, a local group aimed at bringing together and fostering communication and collegiality amongst doctors of all specialties in Tasmania.

Although he has recently decided to take a step back from generalist work to focus on Skin Cancer and proceduralist work, he remains dedicated to providing empathetic, evidence based, patient centred care.

In his spare time, Boris enjoys playing and coaching futsal, supporting his soccer team, enjoying good food with friends and family, and cuddling his 3 cats.
